An Abbotsford man is in police custody facing charges of assault, uttering threats, and weapons possesion after a frightening incident in the parking lot of the Abbotsford Police Station.
Constable Ian Macdonald says just before 1am a woman called 9-1-1 saying her boyfriend was chasing her and another person in his car.
“Occupants of the vehicle were saying that the boyfriend was shooting paint balls at the car, was obviously very agitated, and then we got some backstory which indicated the boyfriend in fact did not want the girlfriend to be going out. They did the right thing, they listened to our direction, ultimately into the APD parking lot where we had members awaiting and we took the boyfriend into custody.”
But not before the enraged man charged out of his car and tried to get at the girlfriend in the other car, right in front of police.
