Covenant House in Vancouver is getting some cash for a new youth mentorship program.
The BC government is giving $315,000 to the shelter to match 16- to 24-year-olds with mentors.
They’ll get help finding a job or getting into post-secondary school.
Children and Families Minister Stephanie Cadieux says the program will help kids in government care who are aging out of the system.
The organization provides sanctuary to street-involved and homeless youth.
