Construction of Phase 1 is slated to start this summer.
It will include a seventy-five bed mental health and substance abuse facility to replace the current thirty bed Sherbrooke Centre.
A new twenty bed geriatric psychiatric unit and parkade are also in the works.
The cost of the first of three phases is estimated to be nearly 259-million dollars with about nine million coming from the RCH Foundation.
