Richmond RCMP refuse to give up on a cold case from the mid-70s.
Mounties are still trying to identify the man found floating in the south arm of the Fraser River near the No. 4 Road dyke.
The body was spotted on June 23, 1976, by the crew of a government dredging vessel.
He’s described as Aboriginal, light skinned, late 40s to early 50s. Medical evidence suggests he underwent spinal fusion surgery somewhere in North America, perhaps during the 1960s.
Police don’t suspect foul play, but they’re still trying to figure out who he is.
