The mother of a young man who was fatally stabbed in Whistler last weekend has now seen one of his accused killers for the first time in court.
“(Indescribable). It’s just awful. Awful.”
A tearful Clara Gordic says she doesn’t know how to go on without her son, Luka.
“My heart breaks like every day more and more knowing, you know, he’s not going to be there anymore … It’s just terrible. That’s it. That’s all I want to say.”
Arvin Golic, the 18-year-old charged with manslaughter, made a brief court appearance in North Vancouver on Thursday.
He’s being held in custody until he applies for bail.
On Wednesday, one of the three 17-year-old boys also charged with manslaughter was denied bail.
The other two were released into the custody of their parents, with a curfew.
