The family dealing with one of the most gruesome killings West Vancouver has ever seen, are also dealing with a battle over a massive estate.
Lawyer Chris Johnson who is representing Gang Yuan’s family says they are struggling to comprehend Yuan was allegedly cut up into more than one-hundred pieces.
They are also dealing with a court battle to try and secure his estate – which includes a property on Shaunessey’s The Crescent and the mansion in West Vancouver where his body was found May 2nd.
“The house in West Vancouver was in the name of the accused and his wife for tax reasons.”
Johnson says the family is torn apart as the husband of Yuen’s cousin is charged in his death.
The three were living together in the home where he was killed.
54 year old Li Zhao has been charged with second-degree murder and with interfering with a body in connection with the slaying.
