A number of Federal Public Sector groups say they’re fed up with what they believe are a number of actions against collective bargaining.
And they’ll be voicing their displeasure at a rally in Downtown Vancouver on Tuesday.
In a release, the various groups say there’s been an effort by the Federal government to change how collective bargaining is done.
They say it’s due to the Budget Implement Act – or Bill C-59.
It was tabled by the Federal government earlier this month.
The bill would allow the Treasury Board to modify collective agreements.
That includes the removal of sick leave, and imposing a short and long term disability plan beyond collective agreements.
Opponents are concerned these changes could bypass negotiation processes.
The rally will be held at Library Square.
