Translink has confirmed that West Coast Express passengers will be the next group to get the Compass Card.
About 7,500 cards will be handed out in the train stations starting June 8.
Passengers will use the smart card to Tap in and Tap out on various public transit vehicles to pay their fares.
On June 1st, another 50,000 post-secondary students will get the Compass card as well.
Though it’s a step forward, Translink’s Compass roll-out has been plagued by two years of delays and overspending and there is still no timeline as to when everyone will finally get the card.
