Another day, another delay on the West Coast Express.
Translink says this morning’s delay was caused by a broken down freight-train near the Maple Meadows station.
Last week, commuters on the suburban train service experienced delays on three different days.
Those, also thanks to freight trains on the C-P owned rail lines.
For years, West Coast Express operated without regular delay.
That changed early this year, when commuters experienced weeks of delay thanks to maintenance work on the lines forcing challenges juggling both commuter and freight trains.
Interestingly, C-P and Translink are still in the middle of contract negotiations.
Translink says this morning’s train #2 is about 10 minutes behind schedule.
