The normally quiet community of Rosdale, outside Chilliwack, was a scene of commotion yesterday afternoon, after a heavy RCMP presence swarmed a home on Llanberis Way.
Pictures of the home on Twitter show it completely engulfed in flames.
RCMP aren’t saying why they were called, but while speaking with Global News, Inspector Davis Wendell confirmed the homicide team has taken over the investigation.
“We’ve had a very serious police incident which has resulted in the deployment of several specialized units. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is taking conduct of this investigation, and will be taking over this investigation from this point.”
It’s not confirmed by police, but some neighbours of the home says it may have been a domestic situation gone bad.

A heavy police presence in an other wise quiet neighbourhood outside Chilliwack Thursday afternoon.
RCMP are not commenting on why they were called to an area of Popkum off Yale Road, but the homicide team has taken over the investigation.
Some reports on Twitter from people who were in the area are say it may have been a domestic situation gone bad.
A fire did break out in the area around 4:00 pm, and some residents in the area we told to leave their homes and wait for further instruction at the Chevron Gas station on Yale road.
Yale Road was closed to traffic, as fire crews battled the blaze.
At one point the Emergency Response Team (ERT) were called to the scene.
The RCMP are not providing any information.

Still not clear why RCMP they were called to the area, but some neighbours in the area are say there might have been some kind of domestic situation gone bad.
A large fire did break out at home as well, it’s not known if the fire is connected to the police presence.
RCMP won’t confirm any information at this time.
