Thousands of people are flooding the streets of Baltimore these days – protesting the six officers charged with the death of 25 year old Freddie Gray.
What started out as a peaceful protest last week turned sour.
CBS reporter Steve Dorsey was punched in the face last week and spoke with Liza Yuza on the Sean Leslie Show – describing what is going on.
“Here in downtown Baltimore, it has been filled with thousands and thousands of people listening to speakers, demanding accountability for the Baltimore city police department following the announcement of these charges.”
“Suddenly a person approached me, punched me in the face, grabbed my phone, ran away and I was injured, my left knee was hurt, still is hurt. But I’ve been able to get out and still do some reporting while taking a little bit more safety percautions.”
The six officers are free on bond after being charged with felonies ranging from assault to second-degree murder.
