With the Canucks done for the spring we can finally get back to our lives or at least other distractions. It seems how old.net is getting a lot of run today.
There are only eight clubs remaining in the quest for the Stanley Cup, and the winner is still a dozen wins away from lifting the trophy.
In the East, the lone Canadian entry is les Canadiens. For Montreal, it’s in Cary we trust as the BC born Price has to steal a couple of wins to get by the Bolts. Tampa had its seven game scare from Detroit. Jason Garrison’s Lightning in six games.
The Presidents’ trophy winners from the Big Apple will tangle with the Capitals in the other series in the East. The Rangers twitter feed refuses to use capital letters. Cute. Let’s hope Washington’s twitter feed does not use all caps. Nobody likes shouting. Until the Caps win a big series, I don’t believe in them. Alain Vigneault’s Broadway blue shirts will win in 5 games.
Out West, a lot of people like the spunky Wild Minnesotans, who dispatched the higher seeded Blues. The Hawks took care of the Preds with goalies Scott Darling and Corey Crawford. This is the third year in a row these teams have met. With Toews, Kane, Keith, Seabrook, Hossa, experience and a couple of cup win since 2010, it will be the Windy City Warriors in a handful.
In the final Western series, the Flames are up against the top seed from Anaheim. Calgary has zero wins in nine years near Mickey Mouse’s house. That streak will continue as Kesler’s Ducks will get fly away in four straight, just like they did versus the Jets.
You’ll forget these in a couple of weeks.
