More cases of E. coli are popping up in Whatcom County in Washington State.
Greg Stern, the county health department’s medical health officer, there are now 17 confirmed cases, four of whom have been hospitalized.
Stern says that’s 13 more cases since officials sounded the alarm about the outbreak among school kids earlier this week.
They still haven’t located the source, but have traced the outbreak to the milk-maker’s festival in Lynden held this month.
About 1,000 American school kids attended that fair, close to the border with Abbotsford.
Fraser Health says E. coli no cases have been reported so far.
