With the current development boom here in Vancouver, many are concerned that the city’s architectural heritage is quickly disappearing. But City Hall is celebrating local success and this year, they’re asking for the public’s input.
The City of Vancouver’s Heritage Awards recognize outstanding work that preserves and restores the city’s diverse heritage throughout Vancouver neighbourhoods. This year, the City is inviting the public to submit their nominations to recognize efforts, big or small, in restoring, rehabilitating and revitalizing heritage buildings, structures, or other features located within the City of Vancouver.
Until tomorrow, architecture and heritage enthusiasts can vote in the 2015 Heritage Awards People’s Choice category. Participants are invited to choose their favourite from among the 15 nominees or rank them.
Voting is open until Wednesday, April 29, 2015 and the awards, including People’s Choice Heritage Award, will be presented in May 2015.
