Vancouver residents concerned over the fate of the Mount Pleasant skateboard park will have their say on Monday.
Commissioner John Coupar says the Park Board will be holding a vote to decide if a new one will be built in Jonathan Rogers Park, and vote on three different plans for the one in Mount Pleasant.
“One is to convert it for beginner use, one is to remove the facility and convert it to grass, the other is to remove it and engage local residents to determine a more appropriate use for the area.”
Late night noise from the Mount Pleasant skate park has been a major headache for people living near it.
The one proposed for Jonathan Rogers will be surrounded by light industrial and office buildings.
