A Delta pilot who amazingly survived a crash landing on a busy B.C. highway during rush hour is speaking out.
The ultralight slammed down on highway 91 Tuesday afternoon.
Paul Deane-Freeman was speaking with Global News.
“I’m thinking, ‘This is really bad,’ so all I could see is the freeway, 1,200 feet, and next thing I’m at 800 feet, and 400, and the trees are coming up, and I stalled it twice over the trees, trying to clear them … barely cleared the trees.”
He was taken to hospital, but without any major injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
