A larger than usual number of people showed up at St. Paul’s Hospital from Monday’s 420 rally in Vancouver.
Providence Health Care spokesperson Dave Lefebvre says 64 people jammed the ER, most of them having consumed marijuana in some form of food.
“Of those, a number of them had experienced nausea or vomiting. Some of them had experienced some heart palpitations. Some had a decreased level of consciousness and some had just sustained some minor injuries at the event.
“It was a very large number of people to present at St Paul’s emergency. Our emergency department is typically quite busy, so that was quite a challenge.”
He says all 64 were treated and released.
