BC Ferries is touting an uptick in ridership.
Vehicle and passenger traffic was up about five per cent in March, year over year.
That’s about an extra 30,000 vehicles and 52,000 passengers.
The uptick was even better in February, and increase of more than 10 per cent.
The corporation says the increases, along with high gas prices and a weaker Canadian dollar, will make for good business this summer.
Fares were up April 1 by 3.9%, but with a 1% fuel rebate.
