“Vancouver real estate is a high speed train, and if you don’t get on it, you are going to get left behind.”
That’s the advice of Johanna Connolly, editor of Real Estate Weekly. She spoke with Simi Sara for our Putting BC To Work series.
Connolly says real estate in Vancouver is a key driver for the BC economy. Here are the numbers:
- The real estate board registered over 33,000 residential home transactions in 2014
- Those transactions generated 2.1 billion dollars in economic activity
- The industry has estimated over 16,000 jobs including mortgage lenders, mortgage and insurance brokers, real estate lenders, home inspectors, interior design stagers and more.
