We have the first entry in the race to replace Jenny Kwan as MLA for Vancouver-Mount Pleasant as she moves on to federal politics.
Tech entrepreneur Matt Toner is not only changing ridings, but also changing parties.
After finishing second to Sam Sullivan in Vancouver-False Creek in the last provincial election for the NDP, Toner is now seeking the Green Party nomination in Mount Pleasant.

And as one member of the party told CKNW, this could be a “Green week” with several more announcements pending, including another “star candidate” federally to be announced in North Vancouver.
