Chris Higgins made the lone shot in the shootout to bring the Vancouver Canucks to a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings.
Eddie Lack made 36 saves for the Canucks and Jonathan Quick made 37 for the Kings.
Only a 1:13 in to the first period and Jeff Carter threw the puck in to the crease where the Kings put a score up on the board 1-0.
The second period ended with the score still sitting at 1-0.
Nine minutes in to the third Henrik Sedin went behind the net and sent a no-look pass to brother, Daniel.
Daniel shot the puck past Jonathan Quick to tie the game.
The assist was also Henrik Sedin’s 700th of his career.
Vancouver solidified its spot in second place in the Pacific Division with 97 points. Putting the Canucks four points ahead of both Calgary and the Kings.
Canucks weren’t able to clinch a spot in the playoffs after Winnipeg downed Minnesota 2-0 earlier in the evening.
The Canucks have two more games remaining in their regular season, both at home.
They take on Arizona Thursday and Edmonton Saturday.
