“She’s on fire! Pangos is worried and I don’t blame him. It’s over! It’s over! She did it, she won it, unbelievable!”
A pair of proud Vernon parents made a six hour drive to watch their daughter clean up at the NCAA three-point contest, defeating the best of the women, and the men.
“What a performance, enjoy that unbelievable display of shooting from Cassandra Brown.”
Cassandra Brown is a guard with the University of Portland and was a last-minute entry into the three-point contest featuring the best college players… both women, and men.
Brown defeated fellow Canadian Kevin Pangos’ mark of 20 by scoring 21 of a possible 30 points.
“He’s Canadian, so I had to be nice.”
Her father Robb Brown told Global News the fact their daughter plays for a Division I school is one thing…
“To actually go ahead and be the champ three-point shooter in the NCAA, I mean I think that says it all right there.”
