A man has pleaded guilty in connection with three different deaths across Metro Vancouver.
On February 24, 2013, Amritpal Saran was found dead on Colebrook Road in Surrey.
This was followed by two deaths in New Westminster.
August 12, 2013 Jill Lyons was found dead in an apartment on the 200 block of 11th street in New Westminster and on August 25, Karen Nabors was found in the same building also deceased.
The investigation lead to one suspect: 34 year old Sarbjit Bains of Surrey.
Sgt. Stephanie Ashton with IHIT says 34 year old Sarbjit Bains of Surrey entered the plea after a very long investigation.
“At this time Sarbjit Bains has plead guilty to one count of manslaughter in the count of Amritpal Saran. He’s also pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree murder in the deaths of Jill Lyons and Karen Nabors.”
Bains’ girlfriend, Evelina Urbaniuk was also charged with committing an indignity to Amritpal Saran’s remains.
She’s plead guilty to those charges.
