A Harbour Air float plane had to make an emergency landing this morning after the pilot reported being in medical distress.
The plane had to land just near the Tsawwassen ferry terminal.
Lieutenant Paul Trenholm is with the Joint Rescue Coordinaton Centre.
“There were six people on board plus one pilot. We did have the opportunity to take one occupant to shore via the hovercraft.”
BC Ferries also sent a boat out to help, and everyone got out okay.
Harbour Air in a statement says the pilot was feeling unwell and made the landing out of an abundance of caution.
The company says the pilot has since been checked out and released.
A second float plane arrived to take the passengers to their destination.
