The weather out there isn’t friendly for those planning to be on the water.
One passenger vessel learned that the hard way this morning around 1am when they started taking on water.
The Coast Guard was then called in and then the three passengers on the vessel got their engine going.
Coast Guard says the 32-foot vessel was then escorted it to shore, from its location on the Fraser River near Vancouver International Airport.
All three passengers are safe but the Coast Guard does remind people in the midst of thunderstorms and heavy wet conditions, even the most experienced can end up in trouble.
This was proven over the weekend as well when an experienced canoer fell overboard in the Seymour River in North Vancouver, swollen by heavy rainfall.
