A passenger aboard a flight from Toronto to Vancouver this morning received less than a warm welcome from members of the RCMP.
That after an apparent attack on a crew member aboard Westjet Flight 701.
In an e-mailed statement to CKNW, Westjet spokesperson Robert Palmer confirmed a passenger was arrested following an incident on board where a crew member was struck.
It adds that WestJet will not comment further as the matter is now before the courts.
However, Darlene Jerome who was on Flight 701 told Global News about a woman behaving erratically with about an hour left in the flight.
“When I got off the plane my knees were shaking and my hands were shaking. She wasn’t a very big lady, but it doesn’t take a big person to create a lot of damage. You don’t know what else is going to follow with that.”
When the flight landed at YVR, RCMP boarded the plane and arrested the woman.
