For the ninth time this month, more gun violence on the streets of Surrey on this Saturday evening.
“At approximately 8:40pm this evening, Surrey RCMP received numerous reports of gunshots in the 9300-block of 125 Street in Surrey. Callers reported to us they saw two vehicles fleeing the area. Sometime later, a male suspect checked himself into a local hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.”
Sergeant David MacDonald with Surrey RCMP says it’s still too early to link the drive-by shooting with the male victim.
“At this point it hasn’t been determined if that male is in fact involved in the shots call. However, we are actively investigating that portion of it.”
The nine shootings don’t include two other possible acts of gun violence; an overnight incident yesterday which left one woman dead and IHIT still investigating, and another involving a male victim at Surrey’s City Centre food court suffering from a gunshot wound.
