UPDATED: Highway 99 northbound to re-open tonight after cave-in

Highway 99 northbound just before the Oak Street Bridge is supposed to re-open tonight.

A culvert collapse under the roadway caused one lane of the highway to cave-in this morning.

The Transportation Ministry says the area will be temporarily supported with jacks.

The highway’s wide median will allow for four-lane traffic while repairs are being made.
