Police make arrests in sweeping fraud probe, but one suspect remains at large

Vancouver, BC, Canada / (CKNW AM) AM980

Burnaby RCMP have arrested two people, while a third is still wanted, in a sweeping fraud investigation that’s claimed about 200 victims.

It all seems to have stemmed from a suspicious purchase at Metrotown Mall.

One of the suspects is accused of buying iPhones with someone else’s credit card, and renting a vehicle with yet another identity.

Officers later seized 200 pieces of ID, including driver licences, from a home in Squamish.

A warrant is out for 38-year-old Paul Hebert.
