The B.C. Lions (5-3) used a big 4th quarter to slip past the Toronto Argo’s (3-5) Sunday.
The Lions put 20 on the board in the 4th, overcame a 1 point deficit and cruised to a 33-17 win, in a game was much closer than the scoreboard appeared. The Leos will take it though, as they pulled away from a tired Toronto team in the games late stages.
The Argos were playing there 2nd game in 5 days, and appeared to finally run out of gas late in the 4th.
B.C. got big games from Stephan Logan and Tim Brown. Both were huge with stud running back Andrew Harris sitting out with an ankle injury.
Logan had 145 yards along the ground and 49 more through the air while Brown returned 10 punts for 149 yards and had another 80 yards on 3 kickoff returns. Those returns gave the Lions good field position throughout the ball game.
The Lions return home to face Saskatchewan next Sunday.
