Woman stabbed in leg with needle, Burnaby police say

Mounties are searching for a suspect after a woman in Burnaby was stabbed in the leg.

A woman was standing at Kingsway and McKay Avenue last Friday morning when a man next to her jabbed her with a needle.

She was treated at hospital.

Police say the nature of the attack is very concerning.

He’s described as dark-skinned, around 35 years old with short, dyed-blond hair. He was wearing a light blue tank top and dark jeans, and carrying three shopping bags.

No similar incidents have been reported.

  1. You can show me all the statistics you want about declining crime numbers …. But its this type of unprovoked attack , and the recent incident in Toronto where a man was stabbed in the heart for accidentally bumping another guys shoulder that makes me call for more cops and stiffer sentences !

    The brutish, inconsiderate behaviour that passes for acceptable conduct between strangers shows a fundamental breakdown of the socirty.
