The mother says her teenage daughter suffered a heart attack while having her four wisdom teeth out and ended up permanently disabled with a severe brain injury.

The mom says she later found out the surgeon was not approved by the College of Dental Surgeons of BC to provide Deep Sedation in his clinic.

In a writ filed in BC Supreme Court the mom also says the doctor did not describe the nature of Deep Sedation, the possible complications and nor did he offer any alternatives.

She also says during the resuscitation of her daughter paramedics found a piece of gauze blocking the airway.

The teen now lives in a rehab facility.
