UPDATES: Family of hit-and-run victim speaking out

“Don’t ever leave somebody on the side of the road.”

The family of a man left in serious condition after being involved in a hit and run while riding his bike are pleading for the driver to do the right thing.

The clearly emotional family says Bruce Rickman, in his early 40′s, is in serious condition and his family fears he may never be the same.

Rickman’s sister in law June LaHue choked back tears saying he was a great guy who has a wife and young children.

She has this message for the suspect.

“Please come back. Let us know what happened. We just need something. Don’t ever leave somebody, even if it was just a scraped knee, don’t ever leave them.”

Rickman, a bus driver, was getting off shift when he was struck from behind and knocked unconscious on the Mary Hill Bypass.

Police are looking for a Toyota vehicle missing a side view mirror.
