Vancouver Police search for missing elderly man

Vancouver Police are searching for a missing elderly man with dementia.

Christo Nocolov Jakov, 84-years-old, was last seen around 3 o clock Tuesday afternoon at his care home on Lamey’s Mill Road in False Creek.

Police say the man walks with a cane and is described as white, 5’7″ tall with a slim build, short grey hair and mustache.

He was wearing a plaid long-sleeved shirt, a black vest with “valet” written on the back, jeans and a black baseball cap.

They say he is likely to become lost outside the care facility and may appear disoriented or confused.

Anyone that sees Christo Jakov is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately, ask for police and ambulance and stay with him until officers arrive.
