Three intentional fires were set just hours around the downtown core according to Vancouver Police as they continue to search for the arsonist.
In all three cases, a man entered the public washrooms of various local shops and set fire to the contents of the garbage cans and waste bins.
The first fire was set at about 4:30 Sunday afternoon at a business on Robson near Bute Street.
The second happened about an hour later at a coffee shop on Davie Near Thurlow Street.
The third was started at about 7:30 p.m. at a restaurant on Mainland near Nelson Street.
Police say thankfully no injuries have been reported as a result and damage at the scenes has remained minimal.
The suspect in his mid to late 20’s with a medium build and short light brown hair.
He was seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt according to witnesses.
