RCMP Insp. Tim Shields denies sexual harassment allegations in court records

Vancouver, BC, Canada / (CKNW AM) AM980

A former RCMP spokesman accused of sexually harassing a former colleague says he did nothing wrong.

In a statement of defense filed in BC Supreme Court, Insp. Tim Shields says not only did he not sexually harrass Atoya Montague while he was her superior, he says some of her allegations are flat out wrong, such as her accusation that he made vulgar sexual advances on a trip to Barriere in 2003.

Shields claims he and Montague had a friendly relationship. He even quotes a note from her in 2011 where she thanks him for being a constant source of support.

He adds that at no point prior to filing her civil claim did she report his behavior to the RCMP.

  1. This guy doesn’t come across as a womenizer , and like some of Vancouver’s finestest , are real people , with lives simuler to every ones . Ass soon as you put on that unaform you become a target , and it get’s prity bad when your own people are against you , Alot of these people work behind the seans keeping you safe , and if you should have a chance to get to know some of them , weather as neighbours , or even employers , you will find they are human, as any body elese . and sex in our culture is still a dirty word , even if every one does it .
