The search resumes this morning for a missing boater north of Vancouver Island.
Navy Lieutenant Paul Pendergast with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Victoria says the search started Saturday.
“The man, who is over 70, was attempting a solo journey from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy in a small rowboat. He was last seen departing Aristazabal Island, approximately 140-miles north of Port Hardy (on Vancouver Island) on July 11th. The man has not checked in with his family and remains missing.”
A Cormorant helicopter and a Buffalo aircraft from CFB Comox will resume the search at first light.
