IHIT takes over domestic dispute case that left woman on life support

A woman who was taken to hospital by a BC Air Ambulance following an alleged domestic dispute is on life support.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is now taking control of the investigation after authorities received a call around noon Sunday that a woman was in distress at a home in South Surrey, near 194 Street and 32 Avenue.

When they arrived to the scene, they found the woman in severe medical distress.

She was transported to the hospital by air ambulance.

One man remains in custody.

There are still few details, but police say it’s believed the man and woman know each other.
