The Vancouver Whitecaps lost their first home game since early April, as Chivas came from behind to take a 3-1 win at BC Place Stadium.
Carlyle Mitchell gave the Caps a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute but Chivas tied it just 3 minutes into the 2nd half.
Chivas made it 2-1 in the 81st minute and iced it with a goal into an empty net in extra time with Vancouver goalkeeper David Oustad pushing forward up field.
It was the first loss at home for Vancouver since dropping a 2-1 decision to Colorado on April 5th.
The Whitecaps next game is in Toronto this Wednesday night.
