The Integrated Homicide Investigation team has arrested Barry McQuarrie, who was identified as a suspect in connection to the murder of Greg Quesnelle back in May.
McQuarrie was located in a residential garage in Langley, where he was arrested without incident. Sergeant Jennifer Pound with IHIT says the owners of the residential home are not suspects or connected to the investigation.
“As of last night just before 11:30pm, with the assistance of Langley RCMP, E-Division Support Services, Air One, Lower Mainland ERT and integrated police dog services, Barry McQuarrie was arrested last night and is currently in custody,”
On May 12th, first responders were called to the 17400 block of 57th avenue where they found Gregory Quesnelle suffering from gunshot wounds.
He died in hospital the same evening.
McQuarrie was identified as a suspect a few days after Quesnelle’s death.
He was arrested on four unrelated warrants.
He is now facing a first degree murder charge in Quesnelle’s death.
