Silence over the weekend between BCTF and government

If there’s no fair settlements made between the BCTF and B.C. government, the teacher strike will continue on into the summer.

It’s been a weekend of pure silence, as talks resumed last Thursday and Friday under the guise of a media blackout.

No word yet from the B.C. Teachers Federation or the provincial government on whether a deal has been made about the on-going strike action.

Numerous unanswered voicemails and emails have been left for both parties with some sides opting not to disclose any information and others providing no response back.

If a common ground is not met by Monday, the BCTF executive committee has voted to extend the strike to summer school, where they plan to picket outside.
