Vision Vancouver has five new candidates for November’s civic elections.

A vote by members saw Joy Alexander as the new School Board candidate and out of the nine that ran, four will join current Vision commissioner Trevor Loke for Park Board.

“Joining myself will be Naveen Girn, Trish Kelly, Sammie Jo Rumbaua and Corree Tull.”

Loke says he’s very excited about the new team and adds the additions will be healthy for the party as well.

He adds about 1,700 members voted.

The Coalition of Progressive Electors (COPE) is scheduled to hold its nomination conference in September.

The Non-Partisan Association (NPA) has yet to announce its selection of candidates for the elections.

  1. The good citizens of Vancouver deserve the Government they get. Unfortunately, the entertainment value of Vancouver’s politics is great for those who live outside of Vancouver but Vancouverites all pay the price.
