A pub in Vancouver’s Olympic Village has shut down temporary over people getting sick with possible norovirus.
Craft Beer Market has posted online they are working with Coastal health to ensure health standards.
Anna Maria D’Angelo with the health authority says the investigation is in its early stages.
“About half a dozen patrons reported being ill on the weekend. Our environmental health officer has confirmed this week that a few staff have been ill at work as well. So there’s a potential for more patrons to become ill.”
Norovirus gives you flu-like symptoms and is highly contagious.
The close order will be in place until Coastal Health is satisfied the restaurant is clean.
D’Angelo says it may have been caused by a food handler.
