The Federal Government is expected to announce its final decision on the Northern Gateway pipeline proposal after the markets close this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time
A federal joint review panel released a report in December recommending approval, and Natural Resources Minister Greg Rickford has hinted the cabinet decision will be a positive one for the project.
But it faces fierce opposition from many First Nations, environmental groups, the BC NDP and just yesterday Liberal Premier Christy Clark said it does not yet meet her five conditions for provincial approval.
