The yoga studio frequented by Yaletown shop owner Paul Dragan is holding fundraising classes today to help out the injured man.

The 52-year old owner of Reckless Bikes was shot Tuesday, allegedly by his former employee.

General Manager of West Coast Hot Yoga Tarryl Plain says they saw Dragan the morning of the shooting.

“He had just finished the 9:15 class, which he normally attended, and then was going to Starbucks. He’s a great, great fellow, so we’re hoping and praying that he pulls through.”

Three classes between 10am and noon will be by donation, with funds going to Dragan’s family.

“It’ll help the people that are dealing with the shock, there is a lot of shock in the studio – and I’m sure everywhere – but, we want to see if we can send Paul some love, and some positive support and it’s just a way of healing, and help the community.”

He remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.

The alleged shooter – 61 year old Gerald Battersby – is facing 6 charges of attempted murder.
