Transit Police ask for help in solving Tuesday's sexual assault

Metro Vancouver Transit Police are asking the victim and witnesses to a sexual assault yesterday, to come forward and provide information.

It happened at 12:25pm on Tuesday June 10th at East Broadway and Watson Street in Vancouver.

Police say the woman and the suspect got off the #99 bus and as the woman walked south on Watson, the man came up from behind and sexually assaulted her.

He then exposed himself.

Police don’t think they know each other and they have descriptions from a transit operator.

The victim is an Asian woman, between 20 and 25 years of age, 5-feet tall.

The suspect is 6-feet 2-inches tall with a slender build, dark oily hair, about 40 years of age, and was wearing a dark jacket and brown pants.

He is known to the Coast Mountain Bus Company as a regular rider.
