UPDATE: Man charged in Tuesday’s False Creek shootings

A 61-year-old man faces 10 charges in connection with the gunfire yesterday in False Creek that left three people injured.

Court records say Gerald Mark Battersby is charged with six counts of attempted murder and four counts related to firearms offences.

Police have not yet released his name, only saying the suspect in the shooting remains in hospital.

The victim, 52-year-old Paul Dragan of the Reckless bike shop in Yaletown, is also still recovering in stable but critical condition.

A police officer was also hurt after bullets flew yesterday at a Yaletown starbucks and Science World.

Battersby had his first court appearance today in Vancouver and is set to be back before a judge on Friday.
