Two Vancouver men are facing charges after one of the largest drug busts in CBSA history at the Vancouver airport.
The investigation that lead to the heroin seizure and arrests took place over 18 months and included RCMP, Vancouver Police and the CBSA.
RCMP Assistant Commissioner Wayne Rideout says it’s not just the size that matters.
He says, “It’s significant in that it is a distribution conduit through the airport and that is significant, the size of the seizure is significant, and the nature of the entry method is significant.”
The 35 kilograms nabbed is worth up to $20 million on the street.
42-year-old Randy Per and 34-year-old Tenny Lim are facing charges of possession for trafficking.
