SPCA recommends charges in dog-walker case

The SPCA  has recommended charges against the woman suspected in the deaths of six dogs that died while in her care.

Marcie Moriarty says following a necropsy on the animals there is sufficient evidence to show they died of heat stroke.

She says the charges they are recommending to the crown are failure to provide adequate care and shelter,  causing unnecessary pain and suffering, and killing an animal.”

Moriarty says they suggesting separate charges for each of the six animals. Dog walker Emma Paulsen was arrested  in relation to the deaths last week and then released. The dogs we reported missing on the 13th when Paulsen said someone stole them. The bodies were found in Abbotsford a few days later.
