The man accused of killing hockey mom Julie Paskall made a brief court appearance in Surrey this morning.
Yosef Gopaul had his hands cuffed behind his back and was wearing a blue jacket. He’s a thin man with dark skin, short, black hair and a goatee.
He was arrested last week and charged with second-degree murder, and has now been remanded into custody until June 13.
Police say he moved from Ontario to B.C. just eight weeks before Paskall, 53, was attacked outside the Newton hockey rink on Dec. 29 while waiting to pick up her son.
Gopaul was identified as a suspect less than a month later.
